Arn’t you loving tumblelogs? for the uninitiated a tumblelog is a blog which is more like a quick and dirty stream of consciousness and they are a really great way to quickly publish the “stuff” that you run across every day on the web. As Wikipedia puts it
“A tumblelog is a variation of a blog, that favors short-form, mixed-media posts over the longer editorial posts frequently associated with blogging. Common post formats found on tumblelogs include links, photos, quotes, dialogues, and video. Unlike blogs, this format is frequently used to share the author’s creations, discoveries, or experiences without providing a commentary.”
I’ve had a tumblelog now for many, many months now and at present it has over 30 subscribers and even more readers. I must admit the whole process of setting up the blog and adding content has been painless and fun. I’ve enjoyed the process so much that it has lead to me doing this website in the blog format too. You can check out my tumblelog, called The Notebook, by clicking on the title in the blogroll to the right. If you would like to start your own tumblelog click onto www.tumblr.com to get your own account.
I’ve realised that the above sounds a bit like an advert… perhaps I should get them to send me some money?
